Meet the Innkeeper

Sharon was raised in Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin, New York, California, Georgia, and Connecticut.  After going to college in Pennsylvania, she continued to wander the US aimlessly, living in Philadelphia, Santa Barbara, Portland (Oregon), and a variety of places in Idaho.  In 2003, she finally found her home in Moscow.

She and her son live next door to the guesthouse in their newly-built house as of October 2009.  She does payroll at the hospital and is a bookkeeper for several small businesses in the Moscow area.  In her spare time, she loves running, bicycling, and enjoying all that Moscow has to offer.  Her daughter recently graduated from high school and is living close by in her own apartment, enjoying her independence.  Her son is in the sixth grade and loves baseball, bicycling, video games, and cool cars.

Sharon has always wanted to run an inn/guesthouse.  Opening in 2008, she has made the guesthouse exactly what she would want in a place to stay while traveling.  Life has been extremely busy since opening the guesthouse and building her house next door.  She still has the backyard to landscape but plans to tackle that project as time and funds allow.  She is very excited to get out and explore the lakes and campgrounds in her new kayaks and travel trailer that are also for rent.  And of course she's always looking for interesting home exchanges, especially international ones.
